HISTORY OF VETTIYATTIL FAMILIES
A wellknown Hindu Ezhava family,they are staying difrent places of Thrissur district,most of them are living in Mattathur Panchayat- in the place of Koplipadam,Mankuttipadam,Kadambode,Kodaly,Korechal,Kotayi,Murikunal etc.. around 500 famlies,some are living in Varatharapilly,Natika,Valapad,Puthur,Irinjalakuda,Koimbathur, Chennai, Bombay etc..
Vettiyattil families came from Aripalam(a west costal area of Thrissur district) about 100years ago. Where they are known as Panikattil house,two brothers Chennan and Ayyappakutty were come to KOPLIPADAM and KORECHAAL area of the Mattathur Panchayat clear the forest land (forest vettithelichavar- later known as Vettiyattil house) and stayed there. Chennan's sons Ennaman stayed in Koplipadam,Ayyappan stayed in Mankuttipadam,Charu went to Kotayi near Vasupuram.
Ennaman had two sons Chennappan and Ayyappakutty. Ayyappakuty had two daughters, Chennappan had three sons 1. Ennaman 2.Ayyappakutty, 3.Karpandi.
Ennaaman had four sons Kochu Govindan,Vasu, Karunan,Madhavan.
Ayyappakutty had four sons they are Chandran, Parameswaran, Radhakrishnan, Ravi
Karppandi had four sons they are Bhaskaran, Sridharan, Kuttichekan, Subramannyan
those all are lived in Koplipadam now.
Ayyappan Mankuttipadam had four sons they are Ayyappakutty,Chaaru,Ennaaman,Mani
Ayyappakutty had five sons four daughters they are Apputty,Kochukuttan,Narayanan,Madhavan,Subran
Chaaru had three sons and one daughter hey are Apputty,Narayanan,Madhavan and Sarojani she is live in Nayaranadi now
Ennaman had one son three dauhters, son's name is Subran
Mani had six sons four daughters,sons are Unnichekan,Chandran,Vijayan,Gopi,Ravi,Mohanan
